Bathgate testimony before House Energy Committee 02/13/18
There are several good points made in this video so I hope you’ll watch the full 11 minutes. What stuck out for me is his revelation that when we’re told that “The AMI meters meet the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards” they fail to tell you that ANSI is NOT a federally-charged standards institute. NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) is a federally-charged standards institute. Now I’m wondering what they have to say about these meters at this moment and why they’re little approval sticker isn’t on there. Why are they silent on this matter. Why are WE THE PEOPLE having to fight this fight when there are agencies we pay to do so? smh He then stated that when he tests digital meters they fail and yet when ANSI tests them (for accuracy I believe is his point), they pass. He then found out that ANSI standards allow them to remove the electronics from the digital meter before testing! So again we find that “they’re rigging the tests” just like they do on foods and Rx drugs….Can’t trust industry and/or government to be honest any more! Honestly I’m pretty disgusted by what they’ve become; corrupt, ignorant tools. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyaGntYM9WA&fbclid=IwAR23hTsQFfhmeloqwITBgFDDeZdDoWUJX7YkIFcQeEpWFiI9kLfO9pOeNm0
