I suspect because our gov’t, specifically this administration, agreed to turn a blind eye. Showing up 8 weeks after the fire and offering residents $700 was a blatant dismissive and devaluing intentional act to show YOU HAVE NO VALUE TO US. This is not a gov’t of, by, and for the people.
