More Studies on the Effects of Electromagnetic Fields

References to studies on the effects of electromagnetic fields

The mobile operators claim again and again (against their own better knowledge) that there are no studies available that prove the harmfulness of high-frequency electromagnetic fields. In fact, however, the opposite is the case. There are now many thousands of studies on the subject, including some very explosive ones, some of which were even commissioned by the operators themselves. The few studies that are cited by the operators in their favor were funded by them or are useless because they are not productive in methodology or epidemiology. Therefore, we will publish the results of some particularly explosive studies here. The results of these studies should actually lead to an immediate shutdown of most transmitters or in any case to drastic reductions in the limit values.

Motorola insider Robert C. Kane, who has been working in the telecommunications industry for more than 30 years, as a researcher and product design engineer, has written an impressive and extremely well-founded book describing the health risks of analog and digital mobile communications and similar wireless technology. All statements are consistently backed up by references to relevant studies – including those from industry. Robert C. Kane was directly involved in the development of cell phones, mobile radios, and microwave communication systems, as well as research on biological effects. Robert C. Kane himself fell ill with a brain tumor and is now one of the key figures in the current multi-billion lawsuits against American cell phone manufacturers and cell phone operators.

In the book he describes and explains hundreds of studies on the health effects of microwaves and cell phone radiation, from the 1950s to the mid-1990s, alarming with their results, namely DNA damage, chromosome damage, tissue damage, cataracts, tumor formation, memory loss, Decrease in motor skills, etc. More information about this book here.

Epidemiological study of the University of Valencia, January 2002

Epidemiological scientific evaluation of 550 questionnaires from residents of mobile phone transmitters. Result: Serious health impairments even at values of around 500 microwatts per square meter. The study was led by Dr. Claudio Gomez-Perretta de Mateo and Dr. Manuel Portolés Sanz from the Research Center of the University Hospital La Fe, Valencia and Prof. Dr. Enrique A. Navarro from the Department of Applied Physics at the University of Valencia. Shortly after this study was published, Dr. Perretta was banned from working and was faced with the choice of not doing any further research in this field or accepting the consequences (dismissal). A more detailed German summary of the epidemiological study will be published in the near future.

197 Studies on Biological Effects of High Frequency Electromagnetic Fields

Bibliography submitted by Dr. re. of course Ulrich Warnke, Saarland University Saarbrücken, biologist and physicist, has been researching the “Effects of electromagnetic oscillations and fields on organisms” since 1969. He comments on the following list of references: “This literature reports biological effects. But biological effects become disturbances and damages in dependence of the stimulus dose (dose = amplitude x time). From this point of view, the literature studies are best suited to explain mechanisms of action to meet.”

In a document published in 1999, the well-known scientist Dr. Neil Cherry the limit value recommendations of the ICNIRP, which were adopted in most countries for setting the limit value, eg also in Germany. dr With this detailed and well-founded criticism, Cherry takes the limit values ad absurdum by relentlessly uncovering errors, distortions, falsifications and omissions by the industry-related ICNIRP (International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection). The ICNIRP is a private association, not a sub-organization of the WHO, and acts as a de facto lobby group for the mobile phone industry. dr

Russian study with Telekom participation: Mobile phone radiation changes sleep and brain waves (2001/2002)

Russian scientists, with the participation of the head of the biological department of Deutsche Telekom AG, analyzed the brain waves of sleeping subjects who were exposed to the electromagnetic field of a standard GSM mobile phone. In comparison to the non-exposed control group, influences on sleep and changes in brain activity were found.

In their overall assessment, the scientists also included existing studies on the influence of mobile phone radiation on sleep and concluded that the electromagnetic fields emitted by mobile phones changed the structure of sleep, which, among other things, reduced the REM phases, which in humans led to a reduction in adaptive reactions ( adaptability) and as a result could lead to a deterioration in their state of health.

Paper from the STOA (Scientific and Technological Options Assessment) department of the European Parliament, by Dr. Gerard Hyland, biophysicist at the University of Warwick (UK) and the International Institute for Biophysics Neuss-Holzheim (Germany): “Effects of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation on physiology and the environment”, in English, March 2001, now also available in German . This is supplemented by another paper from the STOA department: stoa2.pdf

Maier study , study by Dr. rer.nat.et med.habil. Rüdiger Maier, PD, University of Mainz, Clinic for Communication Disorders. 11 subjects were exposed to electromagnetic fields from a mobile phone for 50 minutes during a period of rest (sleep or recovery). 82% of the participants showed a deterioration in memory afterwards! (normally, memory performance improves during sleep or during a rest phase). It should also be noted that in a previous study on 15 volunteers with a longer exposure time (8 hours) comparable results to those presented here were found. According to information provided by Dr. Maier was prevented by Telekom at the time. More studies can be found here
